HAVE YOU REACHED YOUR INTERNET MARKETING BOILING POINT?

I recently heard of a study about Frogs.

If you take a frog and throw it into a pot of boiling water, that frog will jump out immediately.

Now if you take a frog and put him in a pot full of "room temperature" water, the frog will stay there.

If you start to very gradually turn the heat up on the water, the frog will begin to adapt and stay in the pot. He will become so comfortable in his adapting, that he will stay until he is literally boiled to death!

This is a frightening concept, but so many of us "boil ourselves to death" when we strike out to make money on the Internet.

It works something like this:

You see and ad for a money making opportunity. It only costs 20 bucks to join, along with the promise of making up to $16,000 in the first six months. So, you sign up. And you start putting out some ads.

I know, I've done it.

Then another ad comes along. This one is $50 to join, but the earning potential promises is TWICE that of the last one. "What's $50?" you think, and you sign up.

Then a wonderful thing happens. You find an ad that tells you that you can make over $100,000 a year and it's FREE! Of course the website never tells you what it is you'll be selling, or that you have to get their product automatically shipped to you each month for only $85/mo in order to make any money at all! You sign up!

You've already started adapting to signing up for Free or inexpensive affiliate programs that offer Great Wealth and you find yourself not making anything at all. In a year or so, you've adapted so well to clicking on that "sign up now" button that you've spent HUNDREDS of DOLLARS and if you're lucky (IF you're lucky) you might break even.

More often than not, you've just thrown that money away. And you find that you have adapted so well that you have reached your Internet Marketing Boiling Point. You've Burned Out and you simply give up. Just like 95% of all Internet Marketers out there. Just like I did at one point.

What you could have done differently:

Check out the programs thoroughly before hitting that SEND button. Email the owner of the program. Feel him/her out and see how honest he/she is. How financially sound are they? Can they provide you will real testimonies from real people that you can actually contact? How long have they been in business? Does their product or service actually have value? Is it something that you can be proud of and passionate about selling?

And maybe this program costs you $500. But it actually works! You could have gotten in a year or more ago and actually been making a Great Income!

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Don't get "boiled to death" in a hot brew of False Promises.

Moral of the Story?

You can kiss a lot of Frogs and never meet your Prince.

But, meet the right Prince, and start kissing a lot of Green!
