Have you ever looked at all those emails you receive every day and thought, junk, junk, delete, delete? Well most, if not all of us do. We continually get rid of hundreds of potential leads everyday. Potential leads, you say. Yes, potential leads. Everytime someone sends you an offer for their opportunity, spend some time and look it over. What is it going to cost? Maybe a new sign-up.
Some marketers spend hundreds of dollars on cultivating leads. Leads are the things that all salespeople garner like gold. Got a hot lead? You better follow up on it before the trail turns cold. Get it while the interest is hot, and you've got their attention. Otherwise, you wind up on a lukewarm trail, and convincing your lead to join you becomes harder.
Because you have agreed to opt-in to a safelist or FFA (and FFA's are by far the safest for utilizing this method), you are encouraged to contact a member when you post on their FFA page. Be courteous, inquire about their offer. Many times I have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of information and knowledge I picked up from a fellow marketer.
Sometimes, as in sales, timing is everything. You can catch a prospect at an opportune time, they may be more susceptive to listening to your offer if you sound knowledgeable and believable. In addition, sincerity helps. Do not try to sell them on the first offer. Always take the approach of spreading information. Most people do not turn down assistance, especially when its free.
You see, the name of the game is developing relationships. And in doing so, trust is established. Case in point, I once worked a single lead for one week. My prospect had been marketing a program for several months, and had not signed up one member. She was involved in a very good opportunity program, she just didn't know how to promote it.
