JV Marketing - Affiliates in Disguise
Jv marketing is one the most popular topics online these days.
The problem is that a joint venture should be just that. "joint"
Just offering an affiliate commission is not a true JV. Anyone
can go to Clickbank or PayDotCom and get high affiliate
commissions for promoting a product.
You must offer more to individuals to get a true and profitable
JV. Besides a higher commission on sales you should think about
- Giving the JV a free copy or access to your product or
service - Offering to promote a product of theirs to your list -
Placing a link or recommendation about their product or website
on your website - Perhaps incorporating their advertisement with
your product (this will afford them a viral ad) - Try offering
to give a freebie to their list or give their list a discount on
your product. - Give them pre written sales letters and graphics.
The basic idea is to make it hard for a potential JV partner to
say no. If your product is worthy and the JV partner
makes some
cash working with you, they will most likely continue promoting
your product each week or month. The goal is to get them to say
yes to that first promotion.
In addition to the above - you must also contact your potential
JV partners carefully. Don't mass email them. Try and build a
relationship before asking to do a JV. Potential JV partners are
like anyone else - they don't want spammy emails and they don't
want to be sold on something each time they hear from you.
As always - don't put your eggs all in one basket. Try and JV
with several partners. This way if one says no - maybe the other
3 or 4 will say yes.
