Overcoming the fear of writing articles
We all know that writing articles and submitting them to various
websites and ezines through article directories is a great way
to promote our online home based business. But there are many
people who simply dread having to write articles. They keep
putting it off whilst they concentrate on other areas of their
online business.
Many people feel like it seems to be too much work and they
question whether anyone actually reads their pearls of wisdom!
So it can become quite easy to avoid doing it and miss out on a
massive opportunity for promotion of their online business. Put
yourself in the shoes of the reader and you also start to think
how reading articles seems like work to, especially if the
article is boring and very bland!
So there we have a form of stalemate the online business owner
knows they have to write articles to promote their website but
they don't want to bore people so they put off doing it until
another day.
However making an article readable and enjoyable doesn't have to
be hard work and think of the benefits! Once you get the hang of
it, writing articles can be fun, as well as profitable for you
and your online business.
Of course, the articles you write must be about something you
know about, or are interested in. If you own a website then you
probably are more knowledgeable about the topic of your site
than you think you are.
When you start to write about the topic of your website it
really will not seem as difficult as it might just now, because
you already know you topic. It's just a matter of making your
articles creative and interesting.
To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are
some ideas to get your articles read. If you follow these simple
ideas then you will be able to make your
articles readable and
interesting.
Use short paragraphs.
When the paragraphs are very long, the reader finds themselves
having to read the paragraph again and again to make sense of
it. It can get quite confusing and feel like too much hard work
to read. The reader will probably move on to find something
which is easier to read. So don't be afraid to make your
paragraphs short. They can be a single sentence, sometimes even
a single word!
Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header.
If your title can capture someone's attention or curiosity
you're already halfway to getting a person to read your article.
Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people
are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your
articles content but are also short and concise.
Use titles like, "How to make her swoon and blush" .You could
also use titles that can you're your readers something they
want, for example, "Make her yours in six easy Ways". This type
of title reaches out to the reader's emotions and makes them
interested.
Keep their interest from the start to the finish.
Use real life situations that the reader can relate to. Use good
descriptions and metaphors to clarify your point, but avoid
doing it to the extent that you confuse your reader! Appropriate
use of personal or familiar examples with powerful analogies or
metaphors can make it easy for them to relate to what you are
talking about. This means that the reader is engaging with you
and will be encouraged to read on.
